FEATURED PRODUCT

End Channel Embedment

The end channel embedment is a great and inexpensive upgrade to your customer's new project.
An end channel embedment adds protection to the end of concrete walls in the barn and helps to eliminate damages caused by knocking the wall with heavy equipment during the feeding and cleaning process. The embedment's smooth surface and rounded corners prevents injury to the animal if rubbed against.

The end channel embedment is set into the concrete wall during the pouring of the concrete and adds a nice touch to the barn.

This is an end channel embedment prior to being placed in the concrete wall.

The end channel embedment is offered in three standard sizes of 2', 4', and 5'. AgriSteel can custom design and size them to your request as seen in the above picture of a walk-through foot bath.

STEEL MARKET NEWS

We have seen a pretty dramatic change in market conditions as a result of the war between Russia and the Ukraine. As we are all aware, it has also driven up oil prices dramatically which impacts not only trucking and transportation costs but energy costs at the mill. Russia and Ukraine are significant exporters of pig iron (responsible for 56% of global pig iron supply), coal, and gas.

These commodities have a significant impact on hot and cold rolled steel and Zinc markets. These materials are typically comprised of around 20% pig iron, with other industries consuming much greater proportions. The net effect is the mills have announced a number of price increases and in some cases recently have suspended quoting or taking orders for a period of time. This has led to a lot of uncertainty in the market. In march, SSAB went one step further by announcing they will be adding a scrap surcharge starting this month.

The market is predicting a long-term impact on future steel pricing due to increased cost of production and constrained supply. There are many conflicting pressures on the pricing, and we expect this to be a dynamic situation over the coming months.

FAST TRACK PROJECTS

AgriSteel is currently 8-12 weeks for building delivery on a standard building package. We are pleased to offer our Fast Track buildings. These buildings would consist of low complexity rating, meaning that we can pass through design and engineering efficiently to get it into production and out the door quickly. You will sill receive the same quality building but in a faster time frame. Lead times for a Fast Track building typically range between 6-8 weeks. Please contact your Agristeel Representative for more information.
